Cheyenne Paint Bag / 1880

A pouch constructed from native-tanned hide and decorated in sinew-sewn seed beads. The bodice consists of diametric triangles on a white field, bisected by a red, green, and turquoise colored bar. The sides are also decorated in the same color scheme. The interior is stained with red pigment. Supple fringe suspends from the base.
