Cheyenne Moccasins / 1870

A pair of hard-soled moccasins decorated with sinew-sewn seed beads. The vamp consists of delineated buffalo tracks of powder blue and transparent pink, bordered by spade motifs on a white field. Supple hide composes the cuffs, which are stained in yellow ochre.
